Macquarie Biotechnology Hub is an online portal to outstanding opportunities Macquarie University offers for study and career progression in biotechnology.

Our comprehensive course work provides solid foundational knowledge and technical skills in molecular biology, genomics, protein discovery and function, medical biotechnology, and bioethics, whilst enhancing critical thinking, experimental design, and problem-solving skills.

As a Macquarie biotechnology student, you’ll also gain practical skills in project management, communication and teamwork, preparing you for the workplace.

You’ll be trained in the latest techniques by our outstanding academics, many of whom are world-leaders in their fields such as nano-biotechnology, genomics, and proteomics.
